Omar is passionate about using tourism to support local communities and economies, protect the environment, and make the outdoor more accessible to everyone.
He is the current Executive Director at the Lebanon Mountain Trail Association (LMTA) where he also served as President of the Association.
Omar has previously assumed senior HR and Sustainability managerial positions in the private sector and more specifically in the Hospitality field. He has also worked as consultant and trainer in Hospitality, Rural Tourism and ISO 26000 for social responsibility in various organizations in Lebanon, the Gulf and East Africa.
Omar is a senior lecturer in Sustainable Tourism and Hospitality Management at Notre Dame University. He holds an MSc in Responsible Tourism Management from Leeds Becket University UK, a Masters in Tourism Management from “Université de Perpignan – France” and an MBA from Notre Dame University -Louaize.
